The emergence of cloud computing over the course of the last few days has changed the face of how businesses operate, providing a more cost effective way of running businesses with unparalleled mobility to boot.

Park Avenue Garden Maintenance provide gardening services in Garforth, Kippax, Woodlesford, Oulton, Rothwell, Barwick and Aberford, as well as surrounding areas.
John Barratt of Park Avenue was referred to us from The Main Deal when he was looking to re-design his website. They needed a straightforward website to showcase their business.

This was a unique project in that I was approached by the customer to build them not one, but two single page websites to showcase the work that he does.
Tim Oscko is based in Garforth and the first website was for his tree stump removal business, "Stumped?". At Stumped they follow the Royal Horticultural Society's guidance to fully remove tree stumps, by simply digging the whole thing out.
The other website was for his fencing business - "Fenced?" Tim has been providing fencing services for 6+ years but this is the first time they have had a website.
The brief for these websites was to build a single page for each and make the layout of each of them as uniform as possible.
As you can see from the resulting website, this is exactly what we have done.

What is Getsitecontrol?
As web designers, we know just how important it is to engage your visitors, at just the right time when they are visiting your website. That is why we implemented GetSiteControl on our website.
GetSiteControl allows website owners the ability to do a multitude of things on your website as you can see in the image above.
You can survey your visitors to gauge opinions, use it as your contact form, promote your services, blog posts, special offers and you can also use it to allow your website visitors to your mailing list (GetSiteControl integrates with email marketing tool Mailchimp which makes this very useful).

If you take a look at the right hand side of the screen (or the bottom if you are reading this on a mobile phone), you will see that we have a number of widgets as follows:
Schedule a call
This is using the GetSiteControl Promo widget to point to our Online Booking calendar. If you click this option, you are taken to our online booking portal and you will see a list of different telephone services we offer (e.g. Website Consultation Call) and when we're available. Our visitors can then schedule a call quickly and easily.
Again using the promo widget, this time we have just entered the URL of our live chat portal so when the customer clicks this, this can quickly and easily initial an instant live chat session with LS25 Web Design.
Social Media Follow Buttons
You can then follow us on our social media channels using the GetSiteControl social media follow widget.
We're then using the GetSiteControl subscribe widget to allow our website visitors to sign up to our email mailing list. The visitor will sign up and this then adds them to the list that we have in our Mailchimp account. Simple!
Finally, we announced a new product yesterday which is our Business Start-Up Package and we want to ensure as many of our visitors are aware of this as possible. In order to help with this, we are also using the promo widget again but this time to display a popup window with the details of this new product. For this, we are using the great tools that GetSiteControl provide which allows you to control when the widgets appear. Ours is configure to appear either when the visitor scrolls down to the bottom of the page or after the visitor has been browsing our website for 60 seconds.
You can even trigger it to display a message or a survey when the visitor is leaving your website.
