Yesterday I announced that I had published the website of Lively Little Linguists, who are going to be providing Spanish and French classes to young children but today I am delighted to highlight another customer's website that I have published this month.
This time it's the website of an English tutor based in York. Paul Eckert will not be teaching pupils as young as Lively Little Linguists, his customer base will be older children, such as those studying for their GCSEs and A levels. He provides assistance with reading and writing, exam preparation, coursework guidance and also proof reading help. He also provides English tuition to Key Stage 3 pupils.
When Paul came to me regarding his website, we embarked on building a website that was very different from the final result. It was only after we had started working on the website that Paul came to me with an alternative vision for how he wanted his website to look.
He wanted it to resemble a corkboard with notes pinned to it and therefore we went back to the drawing board and I started building the website that he has today. This was something that I was only too happy to do as the customer's satisfaction with his/her website is of the highest importance to me.
Paul shared some thoughts about the experience and his opinion of the finished article:
I am very pleased with my website. Matt was very patient, helpful and professional. His response time was always extremely fast, sometimes instantaneous! I was probably quite a demanding customer, completely changing the direction of the site and offering frequent suggestions; but this didn't phase Matt. He invariably knew the answers to my questions and took care of every request I made. He's designing two more sites for me, and I'm sure they'll be as brilliant as this one.
As Paul says, this is the first of three websites that he has asked me to build for him. Watch this space in the next few weeks and months, there's more to come!
For now, take a look at Paul's English Tutoring, just don't move any of the pins around. ;)
As you may know if you have read the blog before I always try to publish a post about the customer websites that I publish. This latest one is much closer to home as it is a venture being set up by my wife and her colleague who are both experienced language teachers.
Lively Little Linguists aim to provide Spanish and French tuition to pre-school, foundation stage/key stage 1 and key stage 2 children, as all the evidence suggests that it is a great age for children to learn a second language.
They will announce details of the times and locations in July ahead of starting the classes in September.
So, if you have young children that you would like to learn a language in a fun and engaging manner, visit the Lively Little Linguists website and you can register your interest.
While the nature of my business is that I can take on customers from both near and far, I am proud to support businesses locally, which is why I have entered into initiatives such as sponsoring the local football team (Garforth Town) and also The Main Deal who are the championing the small local businesses in the Garforth and surrounding area.
We are therefore excited to highlight their latest promotional video produced to highlight the depth and variety of local businesses we have and exactly what Garforth businesses have to offer.
Sit back, relax and take a look (watch out also for LS25 Web Design's brief appearance):
Anyone who follows our blog will know that I normally publish a blog post as I publish our customer's websites but I have been a little quiet over the last few weeks. This has not been because nothing has been happening but because I spent a week working in San Francisco and then have just had a week's holiday.
Now, I am back, refreshed and ready to go!
In this post I wanted to highlight two customers who's websites we published during last month but that I was unable to blog about before I went away.
First up, Phil Wilson Art! Phil is an artist based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. His work comprises of stunning portraits of iconic celebrities and also beautiful scenic pieces of places that inspire him.
Phil contacted me looking to build a simple website that would showcase is artwork and the brief was to build a website that was non-fussy in order for his stunning pieces to stand out.
Part of the brief was to build him an online shop so that his website visitors could purchase his pieces, whether as an original, a Giclee print or a Canvas. Phil is the first customer to take advantage of our great new fully featured eCommerce solution which is part of our standard hosting package.
From my discussions with Phil, he is more than happy that his website is exactly what he was looking for.
I was contacted by Charlotte who has spent a number of years working in the field of public relations but was setting up her own PR agency, looking to help customers with all manner of public relations, communication, training and marketing services.
She was looking for a website that would help her to launch her business and give her a stylish online presence.
Her website, comprises original artwork that Charlotte had designed which made it very easy for me to build her a website that meets her requirements. I believe the result is the simple, yet stylish website that Charlotte was looking for and I'm extremely pleased with it.
I hope that these websites will help Phil and Charlotte to launch her businesses in a big way, and I look forward to continuing to support them as their businesses grow.
