The Essential Visual Elements Your Blog Should Have

Content is an important part of your digital presence. Sharing useful information with your target audience can help establish your expertise, build credibility and develop a solid brand.
In the UK, more and more consumers are making purchase decisions based on the information and recommendations they find on blogs. Undoubtedly, blogging offers a wonderful opportunity for your company. However, you need to make a solid impact on your visitors. That’s where visual elements come in handy.
Studies show that articles with images have 94% more views compared to plain text articles. What’s more, 65% of people tend to remember content with images. In this post, we share some useful tips on making your blog visually appealing.
Branding Elements
Branding is an important part of your marketing strategy, at least initially, and when it comes to your blog, branding is the first step.
There are many branding elements that play an important role from visual perspective.
- Your logo
- A name for your blog
- Typography
- Colour palette
Imagery
Images are a huge part of a blog and more so when it comes to a blog with a focus on your brand. So, you must decide what type of images you will use.
Depending on the length of your articles, you could use multiple images to support your content and break down the text visually.
Here are some of your options:
- Stock photos
- Custom graphics for each blog
- Reuse custom graphics for similar topics
- Add your blog to each featured image
Call to Action (CTA) Images
Your CTAs are extremely important, especially if your blog is an integral part of your marketing strategy and lead generation. It could be a sign-up form, newsletter subscription widget or an ad banner advertising an offer (such as a 30-day free trial) among other things. No matter what you choose, it must align with your goals.
Author Bio
The author bio section helps build trust with your audience. At the same time, it helps boost your brand awareness. People connect quicker with people or brands they know, even when they only know them through a profile picture or a resume.
When they know the author’s name, they know that someone took the time to professionally write an article and that someone is real.
Conclusion
Content marketing is integral to your branding campaign, and what better than your company blog to build your brand campaign. However, a blog isn’t just about content, and this article outlined some important branding elements that can help boost your brand image.

One Comment
Good job all around here. Our blogs need essentials in order to brand ourselves properly. I use a simple, clean theme that adds some pizazz to match my Blogging From Paradise brand. OK; the theme has all types of palm trees and ocean views because I am all about the tropics LOL. We need a match to be memorable. All about that clarity.
